Burberry is an iconic British brand and luxury fashion house based in London. They have been a staple of British culture since their inception and their famous check pattern is renowned around the world. Burberry's head office has been at Horseferry House in the City of Westminster since 2009. The 1930s Art Deco building has previously been home to government departments and was extensively renovated in 2008. The building features 2 full height atrium light wells which allows natural light to flood the centre of the 7 floor building.
Access Lifts worked with principal contractor Modus Workspace as part of their overall fit out of Burberry's Head Office on Horseferry Road during the most recent renovation. The 1930s Art Deco building was refurbished with the project finally completed in early 2025. The fit out offers comprehensive renovation to the existing spaces and installation of a new feature stair case in the main reception.
Access Lifts specified and installed a hidden platform lift on the ground floor of the building. It provides access from the main reception level up to the cafeteria area. The lift features a bespoke timber upper landing gate. The style and design of the gate copies the full height doors on the ground floor with the same oiled oak veneer. The lift features a 100mm retractable shield around the platform's perimeter to prevent an user from rolling off the platform. There are flush mounted stainless steel call and send push buttons and a stainless feel column control on the platform.
