The Stamp Office is a Grade A-listed building on Waterloo Place in Edinburgh City Centre. The building is ideally located adjacent to Waverley Station making it well connected as well as the St James Quarter to the North. The building was refurbished providing modern office space in a sought after location. The building features 7 floors with 6 floors of offices (4 already let) and the basement featuring car parking and amenities such as cycle stores, drying rooms and chaining rooms.
Access Lifts worked with 3DReid's Edinburgh office to specify the chosen lift initially in 2022. The project went out to tender and was won by Scotwood Interiors. Access Lifts worked with Scotwood to design, supply and install the lift within the chosen time. The lift features a side acting rack and pinion drive mechanism as there was a restriction on floor loadings within the lift pit. The chosen lift also allowed us to match the chosen site colour (RAL 9005) and also match the balustrade panelling with framed glass panels. The lift has a 900mm travel in a through car arrangement.
The lift was installed across 3 days in spring 2023.
