The Wolseley City is the sister restaurant to the world renowned The Wolseley located in Piccadilly. The Wolseley City offers modern European dining in a timeless setting with marbled walls and gold accents throughout the restaurant. Access Lifts were asked by luxury hospitality fit out company BAH Projects to supply and install a hidden platform lift to the main reception area of the building. Access Lifts has previously worked with BAH Projects at Il Borro Tuscan Bistro in Berkeley Square, Mayfair to fit another hidden platform lift. The lift was to be installed with adjacent entry arrangement and a bespoke upper landing gate to match the rest of the reception's gold balustrade and handrails.
The lift's floor features black and white chessboard tiles to match the rest of the lower ground entranceway with red marble exterior. The lift has black rubber trims and stainless steel control posts. The upper landing gate has a bespoke Art Deco gold design with a timber handrail on its top. The lift provides disabled access from street level to the main restaurant level.
The lift was installed in Q4 2023 ready for the grand opening of the new restaurant.
